2012 District Teacher of the Year!  Kelley Wanish, 5th grade GATE teacher at Beech Hill Elementary School, was selected as Dorchester District Two's 2012 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Wanish has been an educator for 16 years and earned her National Board Certification in 2004. BHES Principal Rene Harris describes Mrs. Wanish's teaching as "synonymous with excellence and superiority." Mrs. Wanish equates her approach to teaching to that of a master gardener. "Like flowers in a garden, student learning will only grow and blossom when conditions are right. I spend many hours researching what each one of my students need to grow and reach their full potential." Mrs. Wanish is pictured above (center) with Superintendent Joseph Pye and BHES Princial Rene Harris.
